We are making access concession tickets, wheelchair spaces, and seats reserved for Captioned, Audio Described, BSL and relaxed performances available to book online. This process will not require you to provide any proof of your disability status.

AUDIO DESCRIPTION
Audio Description is a live verbal commentary on the visual elements of a production. It is delivered in-between dialogue on stage and is picked up by an easy-to-use headset.
If you require audio description, please register your access requirements with us to book the best access seats at concessionary rates for the below performances online.
Free touch tours are available to book on dates of Audio Described performances, starting from 1pm for matinees and 6pm for evening performances. Touch tours provide a chance for visually impaired or blind people to get to know the stage, set, and costumes used in the production.

BRITISH SIGN LANGUAGE
British Sign Language (BSL) is a form of sign language. A highly trained professional BSL interpreter will translate the speech into BSL form in a position that is visible to the audience.

ASSISTANCE DOGS
Assistance dogs are always welcome at the Young Vic, if you are planning a visit please let us know in advance which performance you will be attending and we will be happy to look after your dog during the show.
RELAXED PERFORMANCES
Relaxed Performances welcome people with learning disabilities and/or additional sensory and communication needs. During the show, audience members should feel comfortable making noise and moving around as and when they need to in a friendly environment.
We also hold additional seats for these performances, should you require more space.
A chill out space will also be open before, during and after these performances in the Marie McKenna Room, with comfy chairs and a variety of fidget toys available. Just follow the signage or ask one of our ushers and they’ll be happy to direct you.

SENSORY ADAPTED PERFORMANCES
Technical adjustments are made to the production, so it is suitable for people with sensory sensitivities. For example, keeping lights on in the audience area, removing flashing/strobe lights and smoke effects, and removing or softening any loud noises.
Sensory Adapted performances will also be Relaxed. During the show, audience members can feel comfortable making noise and moving around, including leaving and coming back, as and when they need to in a friendly environment.
We also hold additional seats for these performances, should you require more space.

A Face in the Crowd: Thu 10 Oct, 7.30pm. There will be a live band on stage for this Sensory Adapted performance.
The Little Foxes: Thu 9 Jan, 7.30pm.
Punch: Fri 28 Mar, 7.30pm. Strobe and intense flashing lights will be removed from this performance and the lights will kept on in the audience area. However there may still be instances of low intensity flashing lights during the performance.
WHEELCHAIR USERS
There are two types of spaces for wheelchair users. If you wish to remain seated in your wheelchair, please select a wheelchair space. If you want to transfer from your wheelchair to a seat in the theatre, please select wheelchair transfer. If you would like to book a wheelchair space or transfer, please register your access requirements with us to book the best access seats at concessionary rates online.
SOUND ENHANCEMENT AND HEARING LOOPS
We use Sennheiser radio receivers to give you access to sound enhancement. Hearing loops can be reserved when you book your tickets and you can collect them from our Front of House team upon arrival at the theatre.
To reserve a hearing loop when you book, please sign up for Access Booking Online.
When you arrive at the theatre, you will be able to select a hearing loop with headphones, bring your own headphones, or use an induction neck loop. If bringing your own headphones, they must have an 3.5mm jack to work with our devices.
Devices will be cleaned thoroughly before and after every use.
Our box office counter also has an induction loop service.
